Branding Services

Do you create logos suitable for trademarking?

No, I do not specialize in logos intended for trademarking. While I aim to create unique and professional designs, I cannot guarantee trademark eligibility. AI tools may or may not be used in the process, depending on the project.

Do I really need a full branding package?

While it’s possible to piece together your branding on your own, it can be time-consuming and overwhelming. A cohesive branding package saves you the hassle by ensuring every element works together seamlessly. When you work with me, I bring expertise, creativity, and a clear strategy to craft a brand that reflects your vision and connects with your audience.

What’s included in your Brand Kit package?

My branding package is designed to give you everything needed for a cohesive and impactful brand identity:
A custom designed logo
A thoughtfully curated color palette (4–6 complementary colors)
Typography pairings for consistent, polished communication
Optional digital assets, such as social media templates, Etsy shop headers, or email signatures

You’ll also receive a detailed Brand Guidelines PDF, featuring insights into your ideal client, target audience, brand style, and voice. This guide ensures your brand stays consistent and resonates with your audience across every touchpoint.

What materials or input do I need to provide?

I’ll need details about your vision, target audience, and any preferences for style or tone. If you have inspiration, existing branding, or competitor examples, those are helpful too.

Can I request additional logo concepts or revisions?

The Brand Kit package includes 1-3 unique logo concepts to choose from with minor adjustments or revisions such as addition of text, changes of color, etc. Further concepts or revisions may be added for an additional fee.

How long does branding take?

Branding projects typically take 2–4 weeks, depending on the scope of work and timely feedback.

Can you help me define my brand’s voice or messaging?

Yes! I include collaborative brand strategy development, which involves defining your target audience and creating a clear messaging framework aligned with your goals.

Web Design Services

What’s the difference between a handoff website and ongoing support?

Handoff: You receive full ownership of a custom-built Squarespace website. After launch and handoff, you’re responsible for all updates, maintenance, and renewals. The first year of domain, hosting, and subscription fees is covered, but all subsequent renewals are your responsibility.

Ongoing Support: I handle everything for you, including updates, backups, registrations, renewals, and maintenance. Your website stays secure, functional, and up-to-date, with options for advanced features like SEO updates and content creation, depending on your plan. You can adjust your Support Plan monthly to match your business needs.

If I am on an Ongoing Support Plan, can I later choose to transfer the site to my own account and ownership?

It depends on the platform used for your website!

WordPress Sites: These can be transferred to your ownership for a Website Transfer Fee.

Non-WordPress Sites: These budget-friendly sites don’t currently allow direct ownership transfers. If needed, I can provide your content as files for a Transfer Prep Fee. You would then need to rebuild your site on a platform of your choosing, either on your own or with a new web designer.

This limitation helps me keep your upfront build and ongoing fees low while ensuring a professionally managed website.

What’s included in a website build?

A standard website build includes:
A custom 5-page website (e.g., Home, About, Services, Blog, Contact)
SEO setup
Mobile- and desktop-responsive design
Basic analytics integration

You choose between...

Handoff: The website is launched and ownership is fully transferred upon final payment. Additional support after launch is available at $100/hour under On-Demand Support.

Ongoing Support: Your website is enrolled post-launch in an Ongoing Support Plan, where I manage content updates, maintenance, and hosting fees for you going forward.

Do I need to provide content for my website?

If possible, providing text, images, and branding materials will help speed up the process and ensure your website reflects your vision. If you’re unsure or need guidance, I’m happy to help with content creation. I can also draft the content myself, and we’ll work together to refine it until it’s just right.

Can I switch to ongoing support after a handoff?

No. Handoff websites are the sole responsibility of the owner. However, I do offer On-Demand Support at a base rate of $100/hour if you need occasional help. If you anticipate needing ongoing assistance, I recommend keeping me on as a Contributor during the handoff.

How long does a website project take?

Website builds typically take 4–8 weeks, depending on the project scope and how quickly you can provide feedback and materials. I’ll work with you to set a realistic timeline during the planning phase.

Do I really need a professional website?

DIY website builders can seem tempting, but they often require hours of trial and error, leaving you with a site that may not function or look the way you hoped. Hiring a professional saves you time and ensures your website is tailored to your brand, optimized for SEO, and user-friendly on both mobile and desktop. At Peak & Petal Designs, I handle the technical details so you can focus on what you do best, delivering a polished, engaging website that grows with your business.

Digital Product Services

Can you create branded templates for me to reuse?

Yes! I design custom templates (e.g., social media posts, marketing materials) that you can easily edit and reuse for your business needs.

What’s included in the digital product package?

Each package includes one custom product (up to 20 pages/modules), three mockups or preview images, and PDF formatting or file optimization for digital delivery.

Why would I need custom digital products for my business?

Custom digital products—like eBooks, guides, or templates—are powerful tools to engage your audience, showcase your expertise, and even generate additional revenue. Creating these on your own can be overwhelming and time-consuming, especially when trying to make them visually appealing and on-brand. When you work with me at Peak & Petal Designs, I handle the design, branding, and formatting, saving you time and ensuring a polished, professional product that aligns with your goals and leaves a lasting impression.

What do I need to provide for a custom digital product?

I’ll need your product idea, a basic outline, and any content you want included (e.g., text, images, branding materials). Inspiration or examples are also helpful!

Can I request revisions or additional products?

Yes! Revisions are included within the agreed project scope. Additional revisions or new products can be added for an extra fee.

How long does it take to complete a digital product?

Most digital products take between 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity and the timely delivery of materials.

Expectations for
Working Together

What do I need to provide before we start?

To ensure your project runs smoothly and efficiently, I’ll need specific materials and details depending on the service you’ve selected:

Branding:
I’ll need a clear understanding of your vision, including your business goals, target audience, and any preferences you may have for style, colors, or tone. You're also welcome to include any inspiration or existing branding elements (like logos or color schemes). Whatever you don't already have, we can create together!

Website Builds:
For web design projects, I’ll need your desired direction for website content, including text for each page, images, and any branding materials we’ve already developed together or that you may already have. I’ll also need access to relevant accounts, such as domain registration, hosting, and any existing platforms you’d like integrated. If there's anything you don't have, I can take care of it!

Digital Products:
For custom eBooks, templates, or other digital products, a clear idea of the product’s purpose, structure, and content is essential. This may include text, visuals, or branding elements you want incorporated, as well as examples of styles you like.

What’s expected of me during the project?

Timely feedback, approvals, and providing required materials by agreed deadlines.

What can I expect from working with Sara?

You can expect clear and open communication at every step, with regular updates to keep you informed about the progress of your project. I’m dedicated to delivering high-quality, detailed work that’s tailored to your unique goals and vision.

I’ll provide guidance, answer your questions, and ensure the process feels seamless and collaborative. Plus, you’ll have a partner who’s genuinely excited about bringing your ideas to life and helping your business shine!

What happens if I delay providing feedback or materials?

Delays may lead to timeline adjustments, additional fees, or a final product that may differ from your original vision if I have to fill in the blanks. While communication is key, it’s okay if you’re unsure about exactly what you want! I’ll work with you to develop a clear direction and tweak the design together until it feels just right.

Can I request revisions?

Absolutely! My goal is to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your project or product. Revisions are welcome within the scope of the agreed timeline and project terms. However, extensive or continuous revisions beyond the original agreement may incur additional charges or require the purchase of an On-Demand Support Plan.

For website builds, if you anticipate ongoing updates or changes, choosing an Ongoing Support Plan is a great option for long-term care and maintenance.

Payment
Structure

Do you offer payment plans?

For digital products like eBooks and templates, payment is made upfront.

For branding and web design projects, you’re welcome to pay in full at any time, but I’m happy to accommodate your needs with a payment plan. Payments will be divided into three stages:
50% deposit before starting
25% at an agreed-upon project milestone
25% upon final delivery, prior to launch

If this still seems out of reach for you, reach out to me here. I'd love to discuss some more options that might make sense for your project and your budget.

Do you offer discounts?

If a project is paid for in full upfront, I’m happy to offer a discount tailored to your needs. Let’s discuss this during your consultation.

What’s your cancellation policy?

For branding and web design projects, the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel after work has begun, payment is required for all completed work at $100/hour or based on the percentage completed.

For custom digital products, cancellation requests must be made before the project begins. Any cancellations after work has started will require payment for the work completed up to the cancellation date, billed at $100/hour.

What happens if I’m late on payments?

Projects may be paused if payments are not up to date. Late payments will incur a 1.5% monthly penalty beginning 31 days after the invoice due date. For Ongoing Support Plans, a valid card must be kept on file to avoid service interruptions, which could result in your website being temporarily taken offline.

Can I make changes after the project starts?

Yes, but additional work beyond the agreed scope may require a new agreement and additional fees.
